Now you can enjoy the reliability & versatility of SNAPSHOT® with the power of Andersons DG technology.

Snapshot® DG is a selective pre-emergent herbicide that is effective on more than 110 broadleaf weeds! Utilizing the DG Pro dispersible granule carrier, which can be used on field grown or container grown ornamentals.

What is DG?
DG is short for “Dispersible Granule”, which means that the granule quickly disperses with water and can quickly deliver active ingredients to your target environment to battle your toughest pests. DG Pro is a “self-incorporating” granule that reaches the soil complex through mulch, turf or bare-soil applications. Each granule is made up of thousands of sub-particles that break apart with as little as 0.2” of moisture. University research has shown increase efficiency for products like pre-emergent herbicides.

Snapshot DG has undergone significant University testing to live up to the high standards of Dow AgroScience. Snapshot DG has been tested at Ohio State, Auburn, Rutgers, Cornell and Purdue for both efficacy and plant tolerance in mind.

DG, also known as DG Pro is a patented, engineered granule, with superior characteristics including:

  • spherical shape for great flowability and ballistics for easy spreading
  • great canopy penetration (gets through foliage to the target area)
  • made with a natural water soluble material that disperses thousands of sub-particles when contact with water
All these features make for a great handling product that do very well with pre-emergent herbicides.

DGpro has been extensively testing at Ohio State for efficacy and dispersibility, where it has excelled at both turf applications and ornamental applications. In 2010, the O.S.U.’s Environmental Fate team tested DGpro on bare-soil, sand, turf and mulch settings. With this testing, the research staff irrigated DGpro granules on these four surfaces with 0.1” of water every 10 minutes. Using sophisticated software programming, they were able to read the colors of the surface every 30 seconds to obtain quantitative data of the granules “disappearing act”. The data showed that the evidence of granules on the soil, sand, turf and mulch surface were nearly vanished with 0.2” of irrigation and 10 minutes of time.
